Residents and colleagues at HC-One’s Daisy Nook House Care Home in Ashton-under-Lyne, Tameside, Greater Manchester, were delighted to welcome Angela Rayner, Deputy Prime Minister, Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, and MP for Ashton-under-Lyne, for a special visit.

During the visit, MP Angela Rayner enjoyed a guided tour of the 40-bed residential and residential dementia care home, accompanied by, Home Manager at Daisy Nook House; Jake Rollin, Executive Director of Commercial at HC-One; and Rachael Junge, Managing Director at HC-One.
The tour showcased the home’s welcoming facilities, including the hair salon, comfortable lounges, quiet room, ensuite bedrooms, and landscaped gardens. Residents took the opportunity to share their experiences and discuss life at Daisy Nook House, which plays a vital role at the heart of the Ashton-under-Lyne community.

I was privileged enough to be able to catch a bit of the singer in the lounge. Her colourful dress and old time classics proved to be such a treat for the residents. It was lovely to see.”
