The European leg of Huawei’s Network Summit 2024 took place on 30 September in Munich, Germany, with the theme “Xinghe Intelligent Network, Amplify Industrial Intelligence.” At the event, Huawei announced over 20 new solutions under its Xinghe Intelligent Network range, aiming to accelerate Europe’s digital transformation and intelligent development.
Steven Zhao, Vice President of Huawei’s Data Communication Product Line, revealed the latest innovations, which focus on enhancing data communication and improving industrial intelligence across Europe. The summit comes as European countries ramp up their investments in artificial intelligence (AI) and other intelligent technologies. Germany, for instance, pledged €1.6 billion in AI investment by 2025, while France plans to invest €2.5 billion in intelligence through its France 2030 initiative.
Driving Towards the Intelligent Future
As Europe continues its march towards the intelligent future, Huawei’s Xinghe Intelligent Network seeks to lead the charge. The company’s latest offerings aim to support the transition to the Net5.5G era, enhancing data communication infrastructure across sectors. Key solutions unveiled at the summit include Xinghe Intelligent Fabric, Xinghe Intelligent WAN, Xinghe Intelligent Campus, and Xinghe Intelligent Network Security.
Advanced Network Solutions
The Xinghe Intelligent Fabric promises significant upgrades in security and fault resolution. By using a security policy analysis engine, it can process up to 100,000 security policies in minutes, identifying and resolving issues swiftly. Huawei’s iReliable technology ensures that services remain uninterrupted, offering quick switchovers at the link, device, and network levels.
The Xinghe Intelligent WAN solution integrates intelligent technologies to improve path optimisation, intelligent scheduling, and fault rectification. The solution’s built-in “intelligent brain” is designed to automatically analyse and predict network risks, addressing 90% of faults within minutes.
For campus environments, Huawei introduced the Xinghe Intelligent Campus, which focuses on enhancing wireless connectivity for large-scale networks. The solution prioritises traffic for applications such as audio and video streaming and significantly reduces the time needed to resolve technical issues. Huawei’s NetMaster tool offers full visibility across terminal, application, and network levels, cutting down the time it takes to handle service tickets by 90%.
Meanwhile, the Xinghe Intelligent Network Security offering incorporates AI to detect and handle security threats. Huawei’s cloud-based security brain employs 18 security models, achieving a 91% accuracy rate in detecting unknown threats. Automated processes manage 99% of incidents, ensuring a swift, closed-loop approach to threat management.
Further Expansion and Innovations
Huawei’s 2024 summit highlighted the company’s commitment to intelligent transformation across industries. Earlier in the year, Huawei released eight industry-specific solutions. The Munich event built on this by introducing additional professional services, including the Xing Nav Mate solution, which provides Huawei Certified ICT Expert (HCIE)-level capabilities for network planning and optimisation.
Huawei also announced upgrades to its SME-focused cloud platform, Huawei eKit. With an improved user interface and enhanced intelligent services, this platform enables small and medium-sized enterprises to transition to intelligent operations with greater ease.
