Smartkem (Nasdaq: SMTK), a frontrunner in next-generation display technology, is set to present and exhibit its pioneering organic thin-film transistors (OTFTs) at the MicroLED Connect conference. The event, organised in association with TechBlick and the MicroLED Association, will be held at the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven, Netherlands, from 25-26 September 2024.
Smartkem’s Chief Technology Officer, Dr Simon Ogier, will deliver a key presentation on Thursday, 26 September, from 14:20 to 14:35 Central Time. His talk, titled “Chip-First Active-Matrix Fabrication for Effective Connection of TFT Backplanes to MicroLEDs,” will explore the company’s innovative chip-first approach to integrating OTFT technology with microLED displays.
The presentation aims to highlight how Smartkem’s OTFT technology can enhance the development and performance of microLED displays, offering a new solution for high-resolution, efficient screens. This strategy promises to improve the connection between thin-film transistor (TFT) backplanes and microLEDs, a critical aspect of advancing display technology.
In addition to the presentation, Smartkem will be showcasing its latest developments at Booth No. 25 throughout the conference.
