LOMITA, CA – 5 August 2024 – Innovative boba brand Krak Boba has further solidified its presence in the Southern California market with the opening of its 16th location. The new store in Lomita was inaugurated on 20 July with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by the Lomita mayor, the president of the chamber of commerce, the chairwoman of the board of directors, and city council members.
The latest Krak Boba outlet is spearheaded by franchisees Vi Truong and An Nguyen, who are keen to integrate the brand into the diverse Lomita community. Nguyen commented, “Lomita is a diverse community where our drinks are a perfect fit, catering to many nationalities rather than just one. We chose a location on the busiest route leading to major city facilities such as schools and hospitals—we want to stay connected to the community.”
Truong and Nguyen, both passionate about the food and beverage industry, were particularly drawn to Krak Boba’s inventive, hand-crafted drinks, unique branding, and rapid franchise growth. Nguyen noted, “The brand’s rapid growth to over 10 stores in a short period further motivated us. I would love to be a part of making Krak Boba become a national and potentially international brand.”
The Lomita opening marks Krak Boba’s 13th location in California. Positioned between Long Beach and Torrance, Lomita is seen as an ideal, family-friendly spot for the new store. Krak Boba’s commitment to human-to-human connection and its values of empowerment, authenticity, and individuality resonate with Truong and Nguyen. They are confident that the new store will become a vibrant gathering place within the community.
Krak Boba’s ethos encourages guests to “Krak into It and Slay,” providing the energy and courage needed for their daily lives. The menu offers traditional milk teas, smoothies, coffee drinks, and fruit teas, catering to a wide range of taste preferences. Signature drinks include Queen Brûlée, Strawberry Snow, Matcha Storm, Dragon Slayer, and Taro Twist, ensuring there is something for everyone’s “Boba Courage.”
Nguyen and Truong are excited about their new venture and its potential impact on the Lomita community. They hope to foster a sense of belonging and connection through their store. Krak Boba’s blend of quality drinks and strong community values positions it well for further growth.
