Global payroll and HR platform Deel has announced the appointment of Todd Ford to its Board of Directors. This move comes as Deel marks two years of profitability within its first five years of operation.
Todd Ford brings a wealth of experience to Deel’s board, having held prominent roles in tech and finance. His extensive career includes taking multiple companies public and serving as joint President and CFO at Coupa Software for eight years. More recently, he has led financial operations and investor relations at several enterprise companies and venture capital firms, such as MobileIron, Rackable, and Broken Arrow Capital. Todd is also a board member at Hashicorp, 8×8, and Arctic Wolf.
Ford’s background spans corporate governance and transitions from private to public companies. His commitment to building successful companies and mentoring future business leaders underscores his approach. “What drew me to Deel was its impressive growth story, strong leadership, and innovative global platform,” Todd said. “Deel’s ability to address the needs of global companies, coupled with its enormous market potential, excites me. Deel, which launched five years ago, has achieved rapid growth and now serves over 35,000 global customers, including Nike, Hermes, Reddit, and Shopify. The company has reached more than $500 million in annual recurring revenue as of March 2024 and has achieved profitability for two consecutive years.
Recently, Deel has expanded its offerings by acquiring and integrating several companies, including global IT and device management firm Hofy, people engagement company Zavvy, and leading global payroll company PaySpace. These acquisitions enhance Deel’s suite of tech-enabled services designed to support businesses in hiring, paying, managing, and equipping their global teams.
