Attorney Hillary Walsh has been named as one of the 11 finalists for the Greater Phoenix Chamber’s prestigious ATHENA Award, an honour that recognises outstanding businesswomen for their leadership, mentorship, and dedication to community service. The announcement was made as part of the Chamber’s annual celebration of women who have achieved excellence within their fields while also giving back to society through mentoring and community involvement.
Walsh, a prominent immigration attorney and founder of New Frontier Immigration Law, was recognised for her leadership in the legal field, her commitment to mentoring women throughout her career, and her extensive community service work. Her firm, based in Arizona, is known for its mission to serve the immigrant community by providing innovative legal strategies, reducing fear from the immigration process, and offering compassionate service to those seeking help.
In response to her nomination, Walsh said: “We believe that our purpose is to fight for as many people as possible—and we do that every day by helping our clients live, drive, work, and travel freely.” New Frontier Immigration Law’s vision is to help one million people secure immigration documents, and the firm continues to advocate for vulnerable members of the community.
Celebrating Outstanding Women in Business
The ATHENA Awards, organised by the Greater Phoenix Chamber, are designed to recognise women who have achieved significant success in their respective industries, mentored other women along their journey, and dedicated time to improving their communities.
The finalists are divided into three categories: Private Sector, Public Sector, and Young Professionals. Alongside Walsh in the Young Professional category are Kate Conway, Vice President of Government Relations at Verra Mobility, and Kayla Gray, Co-Founder of Commonspirit. These women represent a new generation of leaders making a lasting impact in their industries.
In the Private Sector category, notable finalists include Pam Giannonatti, Corporate Affairs Manager at Kroger/Fry’s Food Stores, and Joanne Osborne, Owner and CFO of Osborne Jewelers. Public Sector finalists include Shannon Clancy, CEO of St. Vincent de Paul, and Rosa Inchausti, City Manager of Tempe, Arizona.
The ATHENA Awards have a long-standing tradition of celebrating the achievements of women in business and their contributions to society. Finalists are selected based on their professional excellence, leadership, and commitment to helping others.
