Methodology
The study analyzed the 2025 Tour de France peloton to identify the most popular athletes based on their global online visibility. Over 90+ professional riders were assessed based on the startlist from ProCycling Stats, with a focus on those confirmed or expected to participate in the 2025 edition of the race. The primary metric used was monthly global Google search volume, offering a clear measure of fan interest and digital prominence. Search data reflects the average monthly search volume for each athlete over a 12-month period — from April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025.
