East Midlands Expo Marks 25 Years, Supports Local Charities

East Midlands Expo Celebrates 25 Years and Supports Local Charities

The East Midlands Expo is set to mark its 25th anniversary this November, celebrating a quarter-century of providing a vital platform for professionals in property, construction, and related sectors to network, collaborate, and expand their businesses. Organised by the Business Shows Group, the event will take place on 11 November at the East Midlands Conference Centre in Nottingham.

The annual expo will bring together industry professionals from across the region, offering opportunities for networking and insights from leaders across property, finance, professional services, and B2B industries. Supported by major sponsors such as Willmott Dixon, RICS, Nottingham City Business Club, and Invest East Midlands, the event promises to facilitate new connections and business growth within a dynamic environment.

In addition to its focus on industry networking, this year’s expo will support four Nottingham-based charities, including BASE 51, The Friary, Emmanuel House, and Notts County Foundation. Event organiser Tina King from the Business Shows Group says this support is a way of giving back to the community. “Marking 25 years in the industry is not just a milestone for us but a reflection of our commitment to fostering connections and supporting the local community. Through partnerships and these events, we aim to create a lasting impact on businesses and charities alike,” said King.

Attendees can expect a wide variety of exhibitions showcasing industry developments, alongside opportunities to speak directly with industry leaders about potential collaborations. The day’s programme includes a seminar titled “The Magic of the East Midlands,” which features guest speakers such as entertainer and speaker Looch, East Midlands Mayor Claire Ward, and Jamie Jordan from the Bank of England, who will deliver a financial outlook.

For those interested in a more personal networking experience, a Network Lunch, sponsored by Property Face2Face, will be held. Priced at £35 plus VAT, the lunch includes a two-course meal and drinks, along with a talk from Jessica Southworth of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA). The lunch provides a relaxed setting for attendees looking to deepen professional connections.

Local charities are also set to benefit from the expo’s outreach. BASE 51, a charity focused on supporting Nottingham’s youth, has been allocated space at the event to raise awareness about its mental health services for young people. Other charities supported by the event include Emmanuel House, which provides services for the homeless, The Friary, which offers social inclusion and homelessness prevention, and the Notts County Foundation, which focuses on youth empowerment through sports and education.

The Business Shows Group will contribute to these charities through donations collected after the event, aiming to strengthen support for local causes.

Entry to the East Midlands Expo is free for delegates, with complimentary parking available. To secure a place, attendees must pre-register via the Business Shows Group website. By bringing together industry experts and supporting local causes, the expo aims to highlight the importance of community and collaboration, reinforcing its role as a central hub for East Midlands professionals and charitable initiatives alike.

The East Midlands Expo has become a pivotal event in the regional business calendar, and as it celebrates its 25th year, organisers are confident it will continue to foster valuable connections and opportunities in the years to come. Attending the event is free of charge, but to secure your place, pre-registration is required. Please visit https://businessshowsgroup.co.uk/register.
