Lovespace makes student life that bit easier with flexible, affordable storage

Lucy ContrinoBy Lucy Contrino20/05/20253 Mins Read

As the academic year winds down, students across the UK are once again faced with the familiar challenge of what to do with all their stuff. Whether they’re heading home, off travelling, or moving into new digs, storage becomes one of those annoying but unavoidable parts of student life. Lovespace, the UK’s first by-the-box storage service, is designed to take the stress out of it.

Founded in 2011, Lovespace has grown to become the country’s largest and most trusted student storage service. Its offer is simple: store as little or as much as you need, and only pay for what you use. Students can book in minutes online, with prices starting at just 75p a week per box. Cost of living pressures mean students are more budget-conscious than ever. Monthly rolling contracts through LoveSpace allow students looking for flexibility to avoid long-term commitments and look for flexibility. Plus they get credit for every referral they make – a nice added bonus.

What makes Lovespace different is the ease and flexibility it offers. There’s no need to drag boxes to a storage unit or squeeze them into the back of a friend’s car. Instead, Lovespace collects directly from the student’s door or university accommodation, stores everything securely, and returns items to any UK address when needed. It’s ideal for students without access to a car or for those who need to move out quickly at the end of term.

The service includes free standard collection, delivery of packing materials, and insurance coverage up to £100 per box. There’s also the option to have items professionally packed. Everything is stored in facilities that are monitored 24/7, and students can manage their bookings and track their items online with ease.

Will Edwards, CEO of Lovespace, said:
“We know how stressful the end of the academic year can be for students. Our service is all about making life easier, more affordable and giving students one less thing to worry about. Whether they are heading home, travelling abroad or moving between residences, we are here to help every step of the way. After over a decade in the industry, we’ve learned what matters to students: price, simplicity, and trust.”

Each year over 10,000 students turn to Lovespace. On average, they store five boxes for around four months, usually over the summer. But the service is just as useful for students going on placement, study abroad, or those taking a gap year.

There’s a clear seasonal trend. Demand starts building in May and peaks in June as students move out of university halls. Then August and September see another surge as items are returned in time for the new academic year. The service is particularly popular with international students who often need a reliable solution while returning home for the summer.

And while most students store everyday items like books, pots and pans, duvets and winter coats, there are some surprises too. Film props, musical instruments, and enormous teddy bears have all made their way through Lovespace’s system.

With thousands of five-star reviews on Trustpilot and a growing base of loyal student users, Lovespace has earned its reputation as the student storage experts. And while it’s not the most glamorous part of student life, getting storage sorted means one less thing to worry about – and that’s something everyone can appreciate.
