Capcom Unveils Interactive Monster Hunter Experience for Expo 2025

Sam AllcockBy Sam Allcock13/09/20242 Mins Read

Capcom Co., Ltd. has announced its sponsorship of the Osaka Healthcare Pavilion at Expo 2025, set to take place in Osaka, Kansai, Japan. The company will feature a cutting-edge interactive exhibit called “Monster Hunter Bridge” at the pavilion, promising visitors a glimpse into the future of entertainment.

Expo 2025’s theme, “Designing Future Society for Our Lives,” inspired Capcom’s decision to develop this unique attraction. The pavilion’s “REBORN” theme, focusing on nature, living organisms, and the marvel of life, aligns with the core concepts of Capcom’s popular Monster Hunter series.

The Monster Hunter Bridge exhibit is an exclusive creation for Expo 2025. It will offer visitors an immersive experience using specialised augmented reality (AR) devices. The attraction will be housed in a cylindrical theatre within the XD Hall, measuring approximately 12 metres in diameter and 5 metres in height. The space will be equipped with transparent LED displays on the walls and ceiling, and projectors on the floor to create a 360-degree visual environment.

Visitors will be able to experience a fully interactive environment where the world of Monster Hunter comes to life. The exhibit will integrate immersive audio with multiple speakers positioned behind the LED displays, and a vibrating floor that synchronises with the on-screen action. The AR devices, offering 105 degrees of visibility, are designed to enhance the realism and engagement of the experience.

Capcom is collaborating with partner companies to bring Monster Hunter Bridge to life, aiming to blend dreams with reality in a way never seen before. The company is excited about the potential of this exhibit to provide an unforgettable experience and contribute to the success of Expo 2025.

To support the event and promote Capcom’s involvement, the company is launching a promotional campaign offering “super-advanced one-day pass” tickets to Expo 2025. A total of 80,890 tickets will be distributed to those who register for a Capcom ID, which provides access to various Capcom games and services. The promotion is currently open to Japanese residents only, with further details available on Capcom’s promotional ticket campaign website.

Capcom’s participation in Expo 2025 represents a significant milestone for the company, which was founded in Japan. The company is committed to delivering a premier entertainment experience and contributing to the overall success of the Expo.
