KFSHRC to Showcase Innovations at Global Health Exhibition 2024

Sam AllcockBy Sam Allcock17/10/20243 Mins Read

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre (KFSHRC) has announced its participation as a Platinum Sponsor in the upcoming Global Health Exhibition 2024, taking place in Riyadh from October 21 to 23. The hospital will feature a pavilion showcasing its latest health innovations and solutions, aimed at improving healthcare outcomes, enhancing patient experience, and boosting operational efficiency.

KFSHRC’s exhibition will highlight several cutting-edge medical advancements, including robotic heart surgery, organ transplantation, CAR-T cell production, and pharmacogenomic analysis. Additionally, the hospital will introduce its capacity command centre and its notable achievements in employing virtual reality within medical education.

The hospital’s involvement in the exhibition underscores its commitment to exploring contemporary healthcare trends, anticipating future developments in the sector, and solidifying its position as a global healthcare innovator. Visitors to the KFSHRC pavilion will have the opportunity to learn about the institution’s groundbreaking achievements, including the world’s first complete robotic heart transplant and its leadership in local CAR-T cell production. This local production capability represents a significant advancement for specialised healthcare in Saudi Arabia, as it reduces costs previously incurred through international production.

Among the innovations showcased will be the newly launched Mobile Stroke Unit, designed to expedite treatment for stroke patients, thereby minimising disabilities and reducing mortality rates. The pavilion will also feature KFSHRC’s pharmacogenomic analysis service, which represents a modern medical approach that aligns medications with a patient’s genetic profile, helping to predict drug effectiveness.

KFSHRC’s participation comes at a time when the hospital has achieved remarkable recognition on the international stage. For the second consecutive year, it has been ranked first in the Middle East and Africa and 20th globally among the world’s top 250 Academic Medical Centres. Additionally, according to the 2024 Brand Finance rankings, KFSHRC has been recognised as the most valuable healthcare brand in the Kingdom and the wider Middle East region. Furthermore, it has been listed among the world’s best 250 hospitals and included in Newsweek magazine’s list of the World’s Best Smart Hospitals for 2025.

The Global Health Exhibition is a vital platform for healthcare professionals to exchange ideas and innovations that shape the future of healthcare. KFSHRC’s presence as a Platinum Sponsor reflects its dedication to leading the charge in healthcare advancements and its mission to enhance the quality of patient care across the region.

As the exhibition approaches, anticipation builds around KFSHRC’s showcase of its revolutionary technologies and services, which are poised to make a significant impact on the healthcare landscape in Saudi Arabia and beyond. The event promises to be an opportunity for professionals and stakeholders to engage with the latest innovations that define modern medical practices and pave the way for future developments in healthcare.
