Baked Earth Bakery Launches Naan Bites for Caterers

Sam AllcockBy Sam Allcock21/09/20243 Mins Read

Baked Earth Bakery has introduced its new garlic and coriander naan bites to the food service industry, offering a versatile addition to menus across a variety of catering settings. These mini versions of the bakery’s popular naan breads are designed for multiple uses, catering to both casual dining and formal events.

The naan bites, supplied frozen, can be utilized in numerous ways—ideal for dipping, topping, or as a shareable side. Their versatility extends to creative serving options, allowing chefs to craft canapés, mini pizzas, or to provide a delightful snack for children. They can also serve as perfect nibbles to accompany drinks, making them suitable for various occasions.

Dan Butt, Managing Director of Nottingham-based Baked Earth Bakery, expressed enthusiasm about the launch, stating, “We are excited to introduce our garlic and coriander naan bites to the food service sector, where their potential applications as sides, starters, and snacks are immense. We believe we are the first to market with these delicious and versatile naan bites, which are a smaller version of our well-loved naans.”

The Butt family has a long history in the naan-making business, spanning over 50 years. The bakery’s roots trace back to the early 1970s, beginning in Nottingham’s first curry house. Since 1990, the family has operated from a purpose-built factory equipped with bespoke ovens designed to replicate traditional Tandoor cooking.

Dan Butt continued, “Our family has always been dedicated to crafting authentic naans and flatbreads, and this collaboration with Central Foods, a leading frozen food distributor, will allow food service operators throughout the UK to enhance their menus with our latest innovation.”

The garlic and coriander naan bites are suitable for vegans and can be quickly prepared, taking only two to three minutes in an oven or one to two minutes under a grill. This ease of preparation makes them a practical choice for busy catering environments.

Baked Earth Bakery has established itself as a leading producer of naans and flatbreads, supplying a range of clients in the food service sector. Their products are now available through Central Foods, which caters to a wide array of outlets, including hotels, restaurants, bars, universities, schools, pubs, care homes, and garden centres. The distributor currently serves over 180 independent wholesalers, as well as larger national and regional partners.

The launch of the garlic and coriander naan bites is anticipated to resonate well within the food service industry, providing caterers with an exciting new product to incorporate into their offerings. For more information about Baked Earth Bakery and their products, visit www.baked-earth.co.uk.
